It was also required that it be easily removed, to facilitate a swift return to service when required.

Exterior surfaces were cleaned with fresh water and allowed to dry. Interior surfaces were not prepared

CCI Tablets were packed in perforated plastic bags and used to protect air intakes, turbines, exhausts, cockpits and avionics. All open compartments were sealed to complete the protection.
CCI 400 was then sprayed on to all exterior surfaces to displace moisture and seal the surface.
